She has traveled many places in her lifetime with her favorite places being the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, & Jamaica.
Jessica stands strong in her faith! She believes healthcare is a powerful tool in communicating the gospel message. Every Christian’s hands are blessed to share the gospel with those in need but healthcare providers, especially nurses/NPs, have a unique opportunity to fulfill that commission as they minister to people at some of the lowest/scariest moments of life. Ironically, graduating nursing students take part in a tradition called “blessing of the hands.” The symbolism, especially for Christian nurses, serves as a reminder that they are called to minister to the needs of everyone in every situation. As believers, we call that being the hands and feet of Jesus. One dream she holds tight to, is to find a place and purpose in fulfilling the Great Commission, by donating her time in clinics and hospitals in third world countries to provide not only her professional experience but by providing those in need with the opportunity for spiritual growth as well!
